4-week course on yoga fundamentals

DESCRIPTION
Whether you are completely new to yoga, or you already practice any form of mind or body, or mind-body work, this 4-week course is for you.
During this 4-week course, we will be immersing ourselves into a hatha yoga journey and go through the foundations of yoga in a progressive way. We will be providing some background information on yoga.
Then, we will be starting by exploring and embodying the principles of grounding and lengthening – two aspects that can guide a conscious, safe, and long-term yoga practice.
We will also be moving our bodies in all directions – side-bends, forward and back bends, twists, for an increased awareness and mobility of our spine. Always taking into account our physical and mental possibilities at the moment of doing yoga.
Another key part of this yoga journey will be pranayama – breathing techniques. By practicing certain breathing techniques, we’ll be able to learn how to better connect our bodies and mind, and focus on the present moment.
Each class will end with a meditation or relaxation phase, to allow the body to reap the benefits of the practice and experience a moment of stillness.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE 4-WEEK COURSE FOR ADULTS

This 4-week course is open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, religion, spirituality, or previous experience in yoga or any type of mind-body work. Everyone is welcome!

It is important to wear comfortable clothes that allow movement. Yoga mats and other materials are provided.

To allow for a gentle transition into the yoga space, participants are kindly requested to arrive on time

We speak English, French, and Italian.

Cancellation policy:
If your cancellation is made in writing at least 5 days before the beginning of the 4-week course , you will receive a full refund. Otherwise, you will receive a gift certificate to attend a future event. If the event is cancelled by the organiser for exceptional reasons, you will receive a full refund. If you enrol in the 4-week course, and miss a class, you’ll be able to participate in a class at Lotus Yoga at the end of the 4-week course.
